PM Phuc made the request at a conference in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday to review one year of implementing the Politburo’s Conclusion and the National Assembly’s Resolution on piloting policies customized for Ho Chi Minh City’s development. Mr. Phuc said Ho Chi Minh accounts for only 0.6% of Vietnam’s area but contributes one fourth of the national budget. He stressed the need to accelerate administrative reform, improve State management, and build e-government. The city will strive to achieve its growth target of 8.5% for 2019 and continue to implement 7 breakthroughs and a smart city project.
