Giant Lantern Festival opens in Hanoi

More than 200 giant lanterns that symbolize the three dimensions of Vietnamese and Korean culture: Peace, Love, and Hope are on display.  Mr Truong Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of the lantern festival project, said: “This festival has offered Hanoians an opportunity to enjoy colorful lanterns created by artisans from the Republic of Korea. This is one of the key activities to mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.”

The festival which opened on Saturday will run for 52 days.
