The “Vietnamese Cultural Heritage – Vitality from Tradition to Modernity” exhibition is held as part of activities celebrating Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23) and the upcoming 14th National Party Congress.

It highlights the legal and policy framework for heritage protection, Vietnam’s UNESCO-recognized heritages, and the role of cultural heritage in the country’s sustainable development.

Vietnam currently has nearly 3,700 national relics, nearly 150 special national relics, and nine world cultural and natural heritage sites.

“Cultural heritages are an invaluable legacy passed down by our predecessors. They are not only monuments, artifacts, and traditional practices, but also the spirit, identity, and memories of the nation,” said Nguyen Thanh Quang, Director of the Thang Long–Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center.

The exhibition is designed to serve the public and visitors to the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, which embodies and crystallizes the most representative cultural and historical values of Thang Long-Hanoi, he noted. “The event’s significance is further heightened when it is held at the Hanoi Flag Tower, one of the symbols of the thousand-year-old capital.”

The exhibition runs until January 15 next year.
