(VOVworld) – Europe Days in Vietnam 2016 kicked off on Monday, promising a fascinating journey through the European cultural scene with a range of diverse activities, a blend of music, movies, sports, food, science and creativity.

The programme, jointly organized by the Delegation of the European Union (EU), the Embassies of EU member states and various European cultural institutes, will take place in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

A prominent event is a concert in Hanoi and later in Ho Chi Minh city, entitled "Europe Meets Asia in Jazz", featuring internationally renowned Vietnamese jazz performers, and foreign artists. The annual European Film Festival promises to entertain Vietnamese audiences with 13 films, ranging from drama and comedies, and thrillers. The event will also include a seminar on Vietnam-EU cooperation where participants will share their experience  in dealing with common challenges in green growth and sustainable development. There will also be the ASEAN-EU Science, Technology and Innovation Days and the European Food Festival.
