On its front-page, Nhan Dan (People’s) daily newspaper and People’s Army newspaper posted several news stories and photos depicting the brilliant military guidelines of the Vietnamese Communist Party and President Ho Chi Minh. 

The articles noted that the Dien Bien Phu victory, which was the climax of Vietnam’s struggle against French colonialists, proved the correct guidelines and creativity of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh in pursuing all-people, comprehensive, long-term, and self-reliant struggle policy while upholding patriotism and combat spirit for national independence and freedom. The Dien Bien Phu victory also proves the huge strength of the Vietnamese people.

According to the articles, the Dien Bien Phu victory raised Vietnam’s international prestige. It is the resonance of the strength of the nation and the time with the brilliant leadership of the Party being the fundamental factor to create the Vietnamese strength and with the Vietnamese people’s patriotism. They are all the factors that ensure the success of the national development cause for the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, equality and civilization.
