Deputy Prime Minister Dam, who is also Head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, told a meeting of the Committee in Hanoi on Friday that the epidemic is spreading rapidly and new virus variants have emerged in many countries around the world.

Vietnam needs to raise epidemic prevention to a higher level, the Deputy Prime Minister said.
