DIFF 2024 will involve 8 teams from France, Italy, the US, Germany, Poland, Finland, China, and the Da Nang team representing Vietnam.
The festival was first held back in 2008 and was disrupted for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It resumed last year. This year therefore marks the 12th edition of the event. DIFF has become a brand of Da Nang as a "Fireworks Festival City".
This year's DIFF theme conveys a message about a world of peace, friendship, and humanity, and honors values that inspire the community.
The festival will open on June 8th with theme "Made of Unique Culture" with a competition between Vietnam and France, the defending DIFF 2023 champion. Highlight of the opening night will be the Jetski & Flyboard art performance created and directed by the renowned producer Australia - H2O Events.
In the following nights, there will be the competitions between Italy and the US on June 15, Germany and Poland on June 22, China and Finland on June 29, and the grand finale entitled "Made of Young Generation" will take place on July 13.
