They are doing their best to protect their workers’ health while seeking new markets for their products.

Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trade Corporation is one of Da Nang’s big seafood exporters with more than 2000 workers. Chairman of the Board of Directors Tran Van Linh said the company is doing all it can to seek new partners and expand its export markets. 

"The new coronavirus outbreak has caused significant impacts on the company’s production activities. Only 80% of our workers have returned for work while this number used to be 100% by this time after the lunar new year festival. The amount of seafood we reserve for exports to the Chinese markets are not much and now put on sale in the domestic markets," said Mr. Linh.

Da Nang currently has 130 foreign-invested businesses operating in industrial zones. 16 of 39 Chinese workers have returned to work after the lunar new year holiday. These workers are being quarantined and in stable health conditions.

Head of the Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Management Board Pham Truong Son said: "We continue to implement a number of programs on investment promotion and support for businesses launching new projects. We’re also working with potential investors to invite them build production facilities in the High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones. Many businesses are implementing alternative plans to ensure their productions during the fight against the new coronavirus."
