(VOVworld)- The government’s Committee for Religious Affairs held a conference in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday to introduce the newly approved Constitution to more than 100 religious dignitaries and followers in the south. The Constitution, which has been shaped by more than 26 million comments, came into effect on January 1st this year. It reflects the high consensus between the Party and the public and promotes the importance of the people whose constitutional rights are demonstrated throughout the document. The Constitution stipulates that all religions are equal before law and that the State respects and protects the right to freedom of religion. Religious dignitaries and followers praised the 2013 Constitution and said they would study it further to disseminate its major contents to other religious followers.
