(VOV) – City and province leaders have celebrated Catholic dignitaries and followers on the occasion of Christmas.

In An Giang province, Deputy Head of the southwest region’s Steering Board Duong Quoc Xuan congratulated dignitaries at the Bishop’s office and Evangelical Church in Long Xuyen, An Giang province. Mr. Xuan expressed his hope that Catholic and Protestant dignitaries and followers will continue to make contributions to patriotic movements, and national unity, and live good secular lives.

On Tuesday, leaders of Quang Nam province’s People’s Committee met with the province’s Catholic dignitaries. The dignitaries expressed their deep gratitude for the Party and local authority’s efforts to improve the living standard of the local Catholic community and for creating favorable conditions for practicing religion.
