(VOVworld) – An art program called “Light up your dreams” was held on Saturday in response to the action month for children 2014.
The event organized by the Vietnam Association for Protection of Children’s Rights and national TV station aimed to call on social organizations to help disadvantaged children. At the event, 38 scholarships were presented to 38 pupils who overcome difficulties to be successful in life. Tran Thi Thanh Thanh, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Association for Protection of Children’s Rights said the program also provided free medical check ups for thousands of poor children in remote and mountainous regions: "With the wish that every child has opportunity to realize their dreams, the Association called on donors to support for a better society. Those activities will help disadvantaged children realize their dreams with their ability".
So far, the program has received more than 75,000 USD from donors. It granted 1,000 gifts and 100 savings books to disadvantaged children nationwide.
