The Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) on Monday held a ceremony in Havana to celebrate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945-2024) and 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament.
Chairman of the ICAP, Fernando González Llort said President Ho Chi Minh's Testament has always been the guideline and a foundation for the Vietnamese people and the Communist Party of Vietnam to achieve sustainable development, making Vietnam a strong country with prosperous people and a fair, democratic, civilized society.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Quang Long affirmed that after 79 years, Vietnam’s National Day, September 2, has been a great source of encouragement for generations of Vietnamese people in national development and international integration.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Tanzania held a ceremony in Dar es Salaam city to mark the occasion. Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen highlighted Vietnam’s success over the past years and expressed her hope that the Vietnamese community and businesses will continue to promote the images of Vietnam, its land and people to the world.

A singing competition was held in Moscow, Russia, to commemorate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day. The event featured over 40 performances by amateur artists, all passionate singers from the Salut Club. The songs performed at the competition recalled history and significance of Vietnam's National Day.
In Canada, the Vietnamese communities in several locations marked Vietnam's National Day with flag-raising ceremonies at their local City Halls.
In the capital, Ottawa, representatives from the Canada-Vietnam Society (CVS) and members of the community gathered on Monday to raise the Vietnamese national flag alongside the Canadian flag in front of City Hall.
