(VOV) - Nearly 4.6 billion USD in official development assistance (ODA) has been committed over the past nine months. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the disbursement of ODA and preferential loans has made significant progress, especially in the projects funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency and World Bank. In general, however the disbursement of ODA has not yet made a breakthrough as the level is not the same in localities and sectors. Quick disbursement is mainly in transport, electric power, urban development, agricultural and rural development projects. The ministry reported that by September 20, Vietnam had 872 newly licensed foreign direct investment projects with a total registered capital of nearly 9.3 billion USD, equal to 93% in number and 135% in capital compared to the same period last year.
