The two-day workshop attracted the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Binh Dinh province, French Ambassador to Vietnam Bertrand Lortholary, and two Nobel laureates, Professor Gerard’t Hooft and Professor Finn Kydland. Discussions focused on the impacts of science on socio-economic development, science and policymaking, science and the fourth industrial revolution, and science and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Phi Long said: “Binh Dinh province always supports “Meeting Vietnam” activities and expects the association’s founder, Professor Tran Thanh Van, and Professor Le Kim Ngoc to hold more scientific workshops locally to support Vietnam in terms of science and education. We hope to develop a hub on science and education in Quy Nhon.”
