(VOVworld)- A ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park’s recognition as a World Natural Heritage was held on Saturday in Thien Duong (Haven cave) in Quang Binh province. In his address, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh said: “Quang Binh province needs to bring into play its achievements in effectively using international support to preserve and promote the heritage values and serve the local socio economic and tourism development in the last ten years. Under the Prime Minister’s authority, I would like to thank international organizations, especially the UNESCO for supporting Quang Binh province in preserving and promoting Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park”.
So far, scientists have announced a list of 2,700 flora species in Phong Nha Ke Bang. Over the last ten years, the site has received more than 4 million visitors.
