Prior to the Lunar New Year (or Tet), thousands of workers at Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Company Limited worked at full capacity to complete the model Galaxy S22 Ultra to be released after Tet. This year, their work has been much easier thanks to the initiative “Improving tools in color processing” by engineer Duong Van Hung. Hung’s initiative has made the company 30 billion VND and has also been applied to many other Samsung product lines globally. Mr. Hung said: “I always think of how to attract more orders for the company. With this initiative, I want to affirm that Vietnam is no less talented than any other country in the world.”
Associate Professor Nguyen Minh Hoai, a lecturer at State University of New York, has IT research which he announced in conferences and well-known magazines. His article won the first prize at the Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), an annual conference on computer vision and pattern recognition in 2021.
After 20 years of studying and working in many different countries, Hoai decided to return to Vietnam to work for VinAI company to contribute to Vietnam’s IT sector. “I want to do something related to solutions to safe traffic in Vietnam, analyzing behaviors and biometric identification of Vietnamese people,” said Hoai.

2021 was a memorable year for Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H'Hen Nie. During the most difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic, H'Hen Nie contributed to the fight against the pandemic. H'Hen Nie joined the Israeli embassy in Vietnam to establish two Room To Read libraries for the children in Bac Me district in the mountainous province of Ha Giang. H’Hen Nie is also recognized as one of the outstanding citizens of Ho Chi Minh city in 2021 for her contributions to many community projects.
With a great spirit of giving, young Vietnamese have been joining together to develop Vietnam into a more powerful and prosperous country.
