(VOVworld) – Cao Le Hanh Nguyen is a student of the Foreign Economic Relations Faculty of HCM city’s Foreign Trade University. Nguyen has recorded outstanding academic results and won many prizes for her scientific research projects. She has also been active in all youth union and student activities. Kim Dung reports:
Nguyen has excelled in her studies and in school and social movements since she was little. She was one of the top scorers in the university entrance examinations. Nguyen joined and helped launch a number of cultural and social drives at school and in her residential area. Nguyen Tuan Duong, Youth Union Secretary of HCM city’s Foreign Trade University, said: “Nguyen has a firm political will, good morality, and a strong sense of responsibility. She is very decisive and dedicated to her work.”
Nguyen’s scientific research projects are of high practicality. Her project on social marketing to advocate water conservation in HCM city won second prize in the Vietnam Young Science Talent Award 2014 competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and second prize in the Eureka – Student Science Award competition organized by the HCM city Youth Union. The project has been transferred to the municipal Directorate for Environmental Protection for real life application. Truong Y Nhi, a member of Nguyen’s research team, said: “Nguyen motivates us with her serious work attitude. She is clever and has had many ideas for increasing work efficiency. She has many fans in the class.”
Nguyen was admitted to the Party in 2011. Nguyen considers this an honor and an impetus for her to study harder: “There are both opportunities and challenges for young Party members. It is necessary that we train ourselves harder professionally and morally.”
Tran Dinh Thuan, a lecturer at HCM city’s Foreign Trade University, said Nguyen has the ability to get other students involved in scientific research and school activities: “Nguyen has proposed applying IT in management and planning. Her initiatives have contributed significantly to school activities.”
Nguyen has been honored by the municipal People’s Committee for her good academic results and contributions to youth union and student movements in 2014.
