Deputies passed 6 bills and 12 resolutions, reviewed the implementation of laws on practicing thrift and combating wastefulness, and questioned the Prime Minister and 11 cabinet members, according to Chairman Hue.

“Lawmakers underlined the need to maintain macroeconomic stability in any circumstances, and  address weaknesses in public investment disbursement and the handling of poorly performed credit institutions, projects and enterprises, and fuel shortages," said Mr. Hue.

Greater efforts should be made in epidemic and natural disaster prevention and control and climate change response, he added.

Chairman Hue said that the year-end session upheld the spirit of the Party resolution on building a rule of law socialist state in Vietnam including reforming the National Assembly’s performance.
