The contest features articles and stories about the sacrifice and contribution of people, organizations and businesses that the author witnessed or the author's deep memories in the process of volunteering and supporting the community. The writing contest starts accepting entries from December 5, 2019 to the end of April 20, 2020. The contest’s results and award ceremony will be announced in May next year.

“The theme for this year’s International Volunteer Day is ‘Volunteer for an inclusive future’. Each entry and each volunteer act will benefit the community and encourage volunteer movements nationwide,” said Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, Secretary General of the Vietnam Red Cross.
