During a meeting with the Japan Federation of Economic Organizations (Keidanren) on Friday in Tokyo, Deputy Prime Minister Dung said the world needs to work together to restructure supply chains based on the advantages and strengths of both sides, reducing the influence of external factors.
For Vietnam, this year is the year of "acceleration, breakthrough, and reaching the finish line" to achieve its development goals of the 2021-2025 period, laying a foundation for the successful implementation of the two 100-year goals and bringing the country into a new era, the era of national development, civilization, and prosperity. Vietnam's "two centenary goals" refer to two key milestones: becoming a developed country by 2045 and building a strong, modern socialist nation by 2030.
Also on Friday, in Tokyo, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung received Shingo Ueno, Chairman and General Director of Sumitomo Corporation and attended Vietnam Digital Transformation Day 2025.
On Saturday, the last working day of his working trip to Japan, the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister will meet the Governor of Gunma Prefecture, visit the Tsukuba Space Center and work with Vietnamese scientists in Japan.
