Vietnam's Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Monday sent a congratulatory message to President Putin.

In his congratulatory message, Chinese President Xi Jinping hailed the Russian-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership as being better than ever and called it a new model for international relations. He said China is ready to further its cooperation with Russia to lift bilateral ties to new highs, creating impetus for mutual growth and contributing to global peace.

Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said Japan wants to further develop its ties with Russia.

Cuban President Raul Castro congratulated President Putin on his landslide victory while Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro congratulated Mr. Putin in an announcement released by the government.
