UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres congratulated Mr. Mohamad on a succesful election and said the UN hopes to have close cooperation with Malaysia on issues of mutual interests.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent greetings, expressing their hope to boost ties with Malaysia in the near future.

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also sent his congratulatory message to PM Mohamad.
