Pope Francis denounced the two bombings, which occurred just weeks prior to his planned visit to Cairo. He expressed condolences to the Egyptian nation and Coptic patriarch Tawadros II. Pope Francis said he is praying for the victims of the church attacks in Egypt and for a world free of terrorism and violence.

French President Francois Hollande said France will mobilize all its forces to help the Egyptian authorities in the fight against terrorism. He offered condolences to the families of the victims.

Lebanon, Palestine, Qatar, Morocco, and Bahrain all voiced their strong condemnation of these attacks and expressed sympathy for the victims.
