(VOVworld) – On Sunday, the Vietnam Institute of Linguistics – the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences held the 2nd international conference to review 30 years of renovation and development of Vietnam’s linguistics.

Domestic and foreign scholars evaluated the achievement of the Vietnam’s linguistics after 30 years of renovation and development. They also worked out the development and research work in the coming years. 277 presentations touched upon pronunciation, vocabulary, semantics, history of the Vietnamese language and relations between linguistics and culture. They also discussed challenges facing Vietnam on its path of industrialization, modernization and international integration.
