In his speech, Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Communications and Education Commission Vo Van Thuong said the Russian October Revolution lit up Vietnam’s revolutionary path and encouraged Vietnamese people to raise up to defeat feudalism and colonialism to grasp the administration. He added the lesson of Russia’s October Revolution and building socialism in the world and Vietnam in particularly shows that nothing can hinder human evolution toward socialism. Russia’s October Revolution in 1917 was a breakthrough historic milestone in human history.

The event also touched upon historical lessons as well as the success and failure of the socialist realism to seek new, rapid, sustainable development on the path of building and safeguarding the nation in the light of international integration.

The workshop was jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Party Central Committee’s Commission on Communications and Education, the Theoretical Council, and the Vietnam Academy of Social Science.
