A new WHO campaign, from now until the end of 2030, aims to prevent the possibility of a virus jumping from animals to people and get ahead of a potential global outbreak. It urges all governments to develop better tools to prevent, detect, control, and treat flu.

The WHO says it will expand its list of partners, enhance research and innovation, and ensure the availability of new vaccines and prevention measures.
