(VOVWORLD) - US President Joe Biden will meet face-to-face with Chinese President Xi Jinping for a “constructive conversation” in San Francisco this month on the sidelines of the APEC Meeting, the White House said Tuesday.

The announcement was made several days following Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit to Washington. But Beijing has not confirmed whether the Chinese President will attend the event.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Tuesday that the US is aiming to have a constructive conversation meeting between the leaders.
