Spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that the White House was working to secure a new date for the visit as soon as possible. Trump, citing the Iran conflict, said on Tuesday that he would take the trip to Asia in "about five or six weeks" but did not specify a date.
He emphasized that he looks forward to meeting President Xi Jinping, noting that the two sides maintain a very good working relationship.
According to the initial plan, Trump is scheduled to visit China from March 31 to April 2, with talks expected to focus on trade issues amid ongoing tariff tensions.
