(VOVworld) - A White House official on Sunday attacked a US court ruling that blocked President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration as a "judicial usurpation of power" and said the administration was considering a range of options, including a new order.

White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller said on ABC's "This Week” that they had multiple options and were considering all of them. Sustained criticism of the judiciary from the White House comes amid concern among Democrats and legal scholars over Trump's view of the constitutional principle of judicial independence as the administration seeks to overcome legal setbacks to its travel ban issued on January 27.
In another development, about 20,000 people staged a march through Mexico's capital Sunday demanding respect for their country and its migrants in the face of perceived hostility from the administration of US President Donald Trump.
The marchers protested Trump's plans for a border wall and increased deportations of migrants. Thousands of police were mobilized to assure security and order.
