At a working session in Hanoi on Tuesday with National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai, WB Vice President and Managing Director of the Growth Dialogue Danny Leipziger said the goals of Vietnam’s National Master Plan are consistent with national  growth targets until 2045.

To achieve the goals, there is still much for Vietnam to do, Leipziger said, but the WB is ready to work with the NA and relevant ministries, sectors, and agencies to clear bottlenecks.

Hai said building a National Master Plan is a complicated task and called on both sides to continue to cooperate.

The NA will organise a Socio-economic Forum 2022, said Hai, adding that he hopes a WB representative will attend the event and make an official WB report on Vietnam’s economic recovery prospects, pointing out the impacts of the global economy and recommendations for Vietnam, to be delivered at the Forum.
