Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue joined 500 representatives of more than 3 million Association members at the function.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said, “The Vietnam War Veterans’ Association at all levels needs to make the most of all resources and preferential State policies for veterans; coordinate or host programs and campaigns for veterans; and promote the ‘War veterans help each other reduce poverty and do business’ movement.”

“The Association should do more for veterans in remote areas, and encourage them to participate in production and business models to escape poverty.”
