(VOVworld) – A war memory exhibit opened at the Vietnam Military History Museum in Hanoi on Tuesday. The event marks the 41st anniversary of the liberation of southern Vietnam and national reunification on April 30, the 62nd anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, and the 126th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.

Major General Nguyen Xuan Nang, Director of the Vietnam Military History Museum, said: “The exhibit reviews Vietnam’s resistance against the US and the sacrifices of the Vietnamese people for national liberation. We want to remind everyone of what we’ve gone through for a peaceful life today and what we should do to contribute to Vietnam’s development.”

The exhibit includes a photo collection depicting the normalization of relations between the US and Vietnam.
