He praised the improvements in its radio programs and the 24-hour English Program which will be launched in September. The President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front urged VOV to improve its transmission to Truong Sa archipelago to help fishermen there remain updated with information. He stressed the need to strengthen external relations information to promote Party guidelines and state policies. VOV President Nguyen Dang Tien introduced Mr. Nhan to the station’s 70 year-old history and its recent development. Tien said VOV now has 4 media platforms: radio, TV, print and its online newspaper but radio broadcasting remained its key role.
