Themed “Returning to the sacred moment,” the exhibition uses VR technology to recreate the Ba Dinh Square as it was on September 2, 1945, when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence declaring the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

At the announcement ceremony, Do Tien Sy, member of the Party Central Committee and President of Voice of Vietnam, said: “The idea of the Virtual Reality Experience Exhibition represents a breakthrough in the application of technology in journalism and media. We cooperated with the Vietnam Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, using the most valuable historical documents and advice from prestigious historical researchers to recreate one of the greatest milestones of the nation, which was also the beginning of the glorious historical mission of the Voice of Vietnam.”

According to the organizers, in just two days from Tuesday to Wednesday, the number of people registering on VOV websites and digital platforms exceeded 29,000. The visitors to exhibition site at the VOV headquarters at 58 Quan Su Street totaled 4,000.
The exhibition will be open again from August 28 to September 5 at the National Exposition Centre in Dong Anh, Hanoi.
