(VOVworld)- The National Assembly session on Wednesday had mixed opinions regarding the revised Land Law. The discussion, broadcast live on TV and radio attracted attention across the country. Many voters expressed their hope that the National Assembly would approve the revised land law at this session. A Byot, a voter from Kon Tum province said the revised law would impact positively land users as well as national economic development. A Byot proposed to review ineffective land areas and hand land over to people making its use more effective and ensuring social security: “We have proposed the Party and State review, measure and acquire those lands which are ineffectively used by farms and afforestation yards.  After that, we can hand over land to localities to serve the needs of accommodation, production and social security”.

Lam Hoai Thuong is a voter from Yen Bai city: “The deputies discussed in a frank and responsible manner. If their discussions are realized, the purchase and pricing of land will be made stricter and the people’s benefits in land acquisition will be ensured. I hope the National Assembly will adopt the revised Land Law at this session”.

On the same day, the deputies heard reports on 4 draft laws on revised Laws on Construction, Environmental Protection, Marriage and Family and Health Insurance. In his report, the Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dung, pointed out the new content of the revised Construction Law concerning project management mode, project planning and state management in construction order. Head of the National Assembly’s Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Phan Xuan Dung praised the revised draft law for its thorough preparation in stipulating the strict management of state funding. He said the revised draft law clarifies the responsibility of state management, investors and related authorities.
