The report presented by Vietnam Fatherland Front President Do Van Chien said that compatriots and voters nationwide highly appreciate the wise, correct and timely decisions the leaders made in the difficult, "life-and-death" situations of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. With the support, sharing and engagement of people from all walks of life and the business community, Vietnam has achieved encouraging results. However, many economic activities have lost their growth momentum achieved in the first half of 2021, according to the report.

Mr. Chien relayed voters’ aspiration, saying “The Government and localities need to adopt prompt solutions to circulate goods, transport materials and equipment to maintain production and business activities; adopt tax support policies, support the labor force, attract investment enterprises and create jobs in rural and mountainous areas.”

Regarding ethnic, religious and overseas Vietnamese affairs, Mr. Chien said: “Voters and people applaud the Party and State for directing all levels, sectors and localities to provide timely support for ethnic minorities, especially in education and health care for poor and near-poor households. Many localities have worked to prevent ethnic minorities from going hungry due to the pandemic. The Party and State have created favorable conditions for religions to practice in accordance with law and made good use of religious resources for the prevention and control of COVID-19.”
