Collected trash will be categorized and used in scientific research on environmental protection. |
The clean-up, supported by the EU Delegation and Keep Hanoi Clean organization, is as part of the European Climate Diplomacy Weeks 2019. Volunteers are joined by Ambassador-Head of EU Delegation to Vietnam Giorgio Aliberti and his staff.
Volunteer Nguyen Thuy Hien said: “This is a great event which attracts a large number of young people. They can promote the clean-up to their relatives and friends. After this, I will actively respond a ‘zero waste’, a campaign to reduce the use of plastic waste, and ask my friends to do the same.”
In the clean-up campaign, residential areas will be provided with trash bins and each family will take turn to bring the bins to public locations where garbage can be collected.
