(VOVworld) - The central province of Thua Thien-Hue welcomed nearly 230,000 visitors last month including 81,000 foreigners. According to provincial authorities, tourism revenue totaled 11.5 million USD.

On Monday, the first foreign cruise liner in the lunar new year, the US’s Celebrity Millennium, docked in Chan May port, carrying 3,000 tourists and crewmembers. The tourists were taken on tours of Hue, Hoi An, and Danang.

During the week-long Lunar New Year festival, 100,000 visitors arrived in Thua Thien-Hue, 62% of them from abroad.
Visitors toured historical relics and learned about Vietnam’s traditional culture from Tet celebrations.
