On Wednesday, army units loyal to President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi’s government exchanged artillery fire with Houthi forces in the Nahm region, east of the capital Sanaa. The Saudi-led Arab coalition launched air strikes supporting the Yemeni government forces.
The army said at least 15 Houthi gunmen and five government soldiers were killed. In an earlier meeting in Sanaa with representatives of the Houthi group, UN special envoy Ahmed proposed a peace roadmap.
