Vingroup launches EV factory project in Ha Tinh

(VOVWORLD) - Vingroup Group held a groundbreaking ceremony  at the Vung Ang Economic Zone in Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh province on Sunday for the construction of the VinFast EV factory with the initially designed capacity of 300,000 vehicles per year, expected to expand to 600,000 vehicles annually in later phases.

In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highlighted the project as a significant step in developing sustainable, modern industries in Ha Tinh.

He said the project aligns with global trends in digital transformation, green energy, and high technology. Ha Tinh is striving to achieve its vision of becoming a comprehensively developed province with modern, green, and intelligent industries, he said.
The factory's first phase is set to be inaugurated in July 2025.
