Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan on Thursday signed a decision on issuing the business license to Vietravel Airlines.
Based at Phu Bai International Airport in the central Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietravel Airlines, with a charter capital of 30 million USD, is set to operate for the next 50 years. In the first year of operations, the airline will use three Airbuses or Boeing aircraft. The number of aircraft in it fleet is expected to increase to eight in the next five years.
Vietnam already has five aviation companies: Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, Jetstar Pacific, Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO), Bamboo Airways, and Hai Au Airlines.
