The forum was held by the Ministry of Planning and Investment in collaboration with the Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco and the US-ASEAN Business Council, during Prime Minister Chinh’s trip to the US for the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly and bilateral activities in the US.
Prime Minister Chinh told the forum that he wishes US businesses will continue to invest in Vietnam and help Vietnam participate in the global supply chain, especially in science, technology and innovation.
“I propose that with a spirit of sincerity, trust, and efficiency, we implement the comprehensive strategic partnership, focusing on areas of priority such as trade, services, scientific technology, innovation, digital technology, energy transition, circular economy, sharing economy. We also hope that businesses from both sides will coordinate in exporting agricultural products which involves a lot of people, especially farmers who are greatly affected by climate change.”
He invited American people and businesses to come to Vietnam to witness Vietnam's changes. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Government welcomes all businesses to invest and do business legally and effectively for the prosperity of each country and prosperity and happiness of the people.
