Vietnam’s tourism businesses win Guide Awards

(VOVworld) – 120 outstanding tourism businesses have won Guide Awards, according to the Vietnam Economic Times. Many of them such as Caravelle Hotel Saigon, Melia Hanoi Hotel, and Luxury Travel have received the awards for consecutive years. Prize winners are selected on the basis of infrastructure, service quality, environmental friendliness, and contributions to the tourism sector and local community.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, in 2012’s first half, Vietnam welcomed 3.7 million foreign tourists, up 14% from last year. Tourism revenue totaled 3.7 million USD.
