In seven months, trade value totaled 440 billion USD, an increase of more than 17% over the same period last year. So, Vietnam posted a trade surplus of 2.12 billion USD in July and 14.08 billion USD in the past seven months.
Products with an export turnover of over 1 billion USD are fuel and mineral products, processed industrial products, agricultural products, forestry products, and fisheries. The United States and China are Vietnam's largest import markets.
Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, was optimistic about Vietnam’s import-export prospects, saying localities have worked out specific plans to support businesses in expanding markets.
