Szanto, who is a researcher of regional security, said the COVID-19 pandemic has caused breakdown in many developed economies. Vietnam will lead in promoting ASEAN’s unity on all regional issues. 

He said Vietnam can rally a common voice in ASEAN to peacefully resolve disputes in the South China Sea based on international law. Unity as one will be an important leverage for ASEAN to obtain its goals.
