(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam confirmed 4,589 infections of COVID-19 on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Health.

The figure represents a sharp reduction of 4,759 cases from the previous day.

Ho Chi Minh City, the country’s current largest pandemic hotspot, confirmed just new 787 cases, but its mass testing using rapid antigen tests found 3,417 positive cases.
Binh Duong province, another hot spot also saw the number of new cases down 1,218 to 2,575.  
Hanoi detected 6 new cases.
The national caseload has risen to 770,640. Nearly 560,000 patients have recovered and nearly 19,000 have died.
More than 40,0000 doses of vaccines have been administered.
