Speaking at the event, Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thao praised the fruitful development of the traditional friend ship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Malaysia, especially the rapid growth of economic, trade and investment cooperation. He expressed his belief that, together with efforts of the two peoples and countries, bilateral cooperation and friendship would develop strongly in the future. Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister Hamzah Zainuddin congratulated Vietnam on its National Day and expressed his confidence in future Vietnamese-Malaysian relations.

The Vietnamese embassy in Cuba held a reception to mark Vietnam’s National Day. Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba, Vu Chi Cong, thanked the Cuban Party, government and people for their support and solidarity in Vietnam’s struggle for national independence, describing it as a great boost to help Vietnam to overcome its past difficulties. He also expressed his pleasure at the consistent development of solidarity, fraternal friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
