At a Monday meeting, Dr. Doan Minh Chung, head of the program, said 26 of 38 research projects use space technology in socio-economic development, environmental conservation, natural disaster mitigation, and natural resource management over the past years.
The 4-kg microsatellite NanoDragon was developed to demonstrate it could use micro-satellite beam technology and the Automatic Identification System (AIS) signal to track and monitor activities at sea. It will operate in a solar synchronous orbit at an altitude of about 560 kilometers.
