Vietnam’s leaders send condolences over powerful storm in central US

(VOVWORLD) - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Sunday sent condolences to US President Joe Biden following news reports that a powerful storm  swept through many states in the central US, particularly Kentucky, causing widespread damage and killing more than 100 people.

President Phuc and Prime Minister Chinh also thanked the US who, through the COVAX program, has supported Vietnam with more than 24 million doses of vaccine in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
