Minister Ha Hung Cuong also presented the friendship medals to five MGIMO’s lecturers during a 4-day visit to Russia, starting last Saturday. In his meeting with Director Torkunov, Cuong asked the Russian institute to bolster links with Vietnamese partners in training and scientific research, especially in the fields of international law and trade, diplomacy and the press. Minister Cuong earlier received the institute’s honorary silver medal for his contributions to developing the political, economic and cultural ties between Russia and Vietnam. On Monday, Cuong and a Vietnamese delegation held working sessions with Russian Justice Minister Alexander Konovalov on enhancing cooperation between the two ministries, especially in training activities.
